Background: Dr. Stoicea received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Craiova, Romania and currently she is pursuing her doctoral degree in Cognitive Neurophysiology.

Her research interests include cognitive and neurophysiology studies of mild cognitive impairment aiming to identify early predictors of conversion to dementia.

Dr. Stoicea is an active member of Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) contributing to journal papers and abstracts as author and coauthor of studies focusing on cognitive ability and vascular changes in Diabetes patients. She joined the Cognitive Division in March 2008.
