Sandra K.Kostyk is Assitant Professor, Department of Neurology, Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, Consultant in Neurology and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, Chalmers P. Wylie Outpatient Clinic, Department of Veterans Affairs, Columbus, OH, Assistant Professor (Joint Appointment), Department of Neuroscience, OSU, Columbus, OH, Medical Director, Huntington’s Disease Society Of America Center of Excellence at The Ohio State University.

Biographical Sketch

Dr. Kostyk received her AB in biology from the University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois in 1975. She received her Ph.D., Neurobiology, Department of Pharrmacological and Physiological Sciences, The University of Chicago, Chicago, IL in and her M.D., The Pritzker School of Medicine, The University of Chicago, Chicago, IL in 1985. She completed residency programs in medicine and neurology from the Department of Neurology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, and Department of Internal Medicine, The University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics, The University of Chicago, IL.

Research

Dr. Kostyk has a broad interest in Neurodegenerative Disease Processes, neuroregeneration and neurorecovery following CNS injury, and also the molecular and cellular response of the central nervous system to injury.
