Background: Dr. Kolb received his BA in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990. He completed a dual MD/PhD program at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston in 1998. During the PhD portion of this program, he worked in the laboratory of Dr. Neal Waxham. Dr. Kolb completed residency programs in Medicine and Neurology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia in 1999 and 2002. He spent the next five years as a neuromuscular research post-doctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Gideon Dreyfuss of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kolb joined the faculty at The Ohio State University Medical Center in 2007.
